Day 1 of Our 22-Day Unity Challenge: Tav (ת) — Marked by the Cross

Tav (ת)

Tav (ת)

Welcome to the first day of our 22-day journey toward unity in the Body of Christ! From now until September 22, 2025, we’ll count backward through the Hebrew alphabet — starting with Tav, the final letter, and ending with the first, Aleph — to prepare our hearts for a global gathering of prayer and reconciliation. Join us as we build an altar of unity, one day at a time!

What is Tav?

Tav (ת), the 22nd Hebrew letter, means “mark” or “covenant seal.” In ancient Hebrew, it looked like a cross — pointing straight to Jesus’ Cross, the ultimate sign of love and unity. In Ezekiel 9:4, God marked His faithful with a Tav to protect them. In Revelation 7:3, He seals His people as one family. Tav reminds us: we’re not divided by church names or traditions — we’re one in Christ.

Why Start with Tav?

The Cross unites us. Like Elijah rebuilding the altar with 12 stones for Israel’s tribes (1 Kings 18:31), we’re called to rebuild unity in God’s family. As we begin this 22-day challenge, Tav invites us to lay down pride, forgive past hurts, and embrace every believer as family — all marked by the same Cross.

Our Day 1 Challenge: Take a Step Toward Unity

• Reflect: Pray about any grudges or divisions you’ve held against other Christians. Ask God to soften your heart.

• Reach Out: Send a message, call, or meet someone from a different church or background. Share a word of encouragement or pray together.

• Commit: Choose to see all believers as one family under the Cross, no matter their denomination

Our Prayer

Lord Jesus, mark us with Your Cross. Forgive us for any ways we’ve divided Your Body. Heal our hearts and unite us as one family. Let Your Tav seal us in love and unity as we prepare for Your Spirit to move. Amen.

Join the Journey!

Each day, we’ll share a new letter and challenge to build toward a global time of prayer starting on September 22, 2025.

Today, share this challenge with a friend and tell us in the comments: How will you take a step toward unity? Maybe it’s forgiving someone, praying with a friend, or joining a new Bible study. Let’s inspire and pray with one another! 🙏

“By this everyone will know you are my disciples, if you love one another.” (John 13:35)
